B Hasemeyer
Dan, aka B. Hasemeyer, was born on 11/24/85 in Shelby, North Carolina. He grew up in Caser NC, and attended Burns High School located in Lawndale NC where he was in both band and drama. He played the French horn until picking up the guitar at age fourteen. He began writing his own music when he turned seventeen, and came up with the idea to become a solo artist. When on vacation one year with his family, he found a baseball hat lying by itself on the beach. He glanced inside it and noticed a name scrawled in cursive under the brim. That name was of the initial B followed by the surname Hasemeyer. He was immediately drawn to the sound of it, and from then on referred to his musical identity as none other than... B. Hasemeyer. His solo career as B. Hasemeyer has spanned over 15 yrs and produced eight full length home studio albums. On average, he released at least one album every other year. The germ of an idea that was to become Sexy Monastery, came about one spring evening in mid-April 2018 when he was busking on the streets of Uptown Shelby (North Carolina) (hometown of Don Gibson of Gibson guitars and Luke Edwards of Animal Bag), when a stranger also involved in music going by the stage name 'Izzy May' approached him and began whispering in his ear. They had a brief conversation about going to karaoke, and when she finally turned to leave, she made the notable and direct statement that became infamous between the two. "You're really cute", Izzy emphasized... Leaving Dan (short for Daniel) speechless. A couple days later, he tracked her down on Facebook and they got together immediately -- sharing their music with each other, and a week later he brought his guitar to her house, proposing they record a song together. Hence, the first Sexy Monastery song, a duet entitled Aberdeen (about Aberdeen Washington) was born. The two began an instant relationship together and plan on getting married December 1, 2019.
Notable solo songs from the B. Hasemeyer collection are Found, Death Of The Sun, and Boobies

Sexy Monastery
Lizz, also known as Roas Kobalt, always dreamt of being a rock star. Born in a suburban area outside of Detroit, Michigan, she moved to Lawndale North Carolina when she was just seven. A passionate Leo, she also attended Burns High School and was an avid part of band and drama -- winning a plaque award in both categories. She starred in several plays, and when she was just nineteen, she packed her car and headed out west to Hollywood California where she had every intention of making it in the film industry as a Hollywood actress. Following the writings of ten feature length screenplays, she realized the rigid life of a movie star wasn't for her... Always a fan of writing poetry, she wrote her first song (the angry 7 shades of red) in 2010. Following that piece, she wrote a binder full of songs including the pop classic Wanted By Everyone., Before relocating back to Shelby, North Carolina where she eventually recorded three songs in the studio with the intention of a solo career in the corporate rock category. In April 2018, she met Dan while he was busking on the street, (when she was going by the name Izzy May) and they immediately hit it off. They discussed recording songs together and possibly forming a band. Not soon after, they were engaged to be married -- and a part of a duo entitled Sexy Monastery... A title derived from Lizz's idea that music is a place of arousing worship. So far they have completed 43 songs together. With no end in sight.
Notable hits from debut album are 7 shades of red, somebody's widow and blood money
